BJCS and Cherokee Nation Career Services Explore Stronger Support Pathways

On April 15, 2026, staff at Betty Jackson Counseling Services, PC met with Cherokee Nation Career Services to collaborate on strengthening support for individuals in need of behavioral health and reentry services. The meeting created an important opportunity to share information, align services, and explore how both organizations can work together to better support community members facing complex life transitions.

During the conversation, BJCS provided an overview of its outpatient services, along with information about Parker’s Hope for Men, a program under Parker’s Hope for Mental Wellness that supports individuals in need of reentry housing and sober living. By highlighting both clinical and housing-related support, the discussion reinforced the importance of addressing recovery and reentry through a more connected, whole-person approach.

A key part of the meeting included insight from House Manager Irvin, who shared valuable perspective on the real-time needs within the sober living and reentry housing program. His input helped ground the conversation in lived experience and day-to-day realities, making the dialogue more practical and action-oriented.

The roundtable discussion allowed both teams to exchange resources, identify opportunities for service alignment, and consider stronger referral and support pathways for those in need. Parkers Hope and BJCS are encouraged by the opportunity to partner with Cherokee Nation Career Services and look forward to building on this collaboration to better serve the community.
